Delta X Tech Immersion Kicks Off with a Dynamic New Class of Fellows

The Delta X Tech Immersion Fellowship Orientation Session was successfully held at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) on October 9, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for a new cohort of master’s programme students. The orientation welcomed newly admitted Delta X fellows and spotlighting the unique opportunities that await them.

Launched by the HKU School of Computing and Data Science (CDS), the Delta X Tech Immersion Fellowship is a pioneering initiative based in Shanghai, and is designed for top-performing students in the MSc(CompSc), MSc(ECom&IComp), and MDASC programmes. The fellowship offers an unparalleled blend of cutting-edge courses in Web3 and AI, cross-border learning opportunities, industry engagement, and exclusive internships, empowering them to thrive in the fast-evolving global tech landscape.

Professor Yi MA, Director of CDS, kicked off the event with a compelling address, highlighted that the uniqueness of this fellowship by bringing together the academic excellence in HKU and the abundant resources and opportunities in mainland China, creating a powerful platform for cultivating future tech leaders.

Professor Siu-Ming YIU, Master Programme Director of CDS shared the latest updates on the fellowship programme, internship opportunities, accommodation arrangements and the HKU-CDS Shanghai Teaching and Research Site.

The orientation concluded with an engaging networking session, where fellows connected with peers and faculty members, laying the foundation for a vibrant and collaborative Delta X community. This orientation marks not just the start of a programme, but the launch of a transformative experience for our talents.
